Microsoft makes its case in Luxembourg
Microsoft was back in court today to argue against the March European Commission ruling imposing sanctions on the company for bundling its Media Player software in Windows. This wouldn't be the first time Microsoft has been asked to redesign its offerings to help competitors.
Of course, it's easy to justify penalizing a non-EU entity for abusing its dominant position in that market. I wonder if there's ever been a study of how much Microsoft's legal bills contribute to the cost of licensing their products.... for some reason, I think that might be enlightening to the supposed consumer watchdogs bent on fining Microsoft for every enhancement.
